What Do You Need To Know?
- The James Adair Salver is our Pairs Senior & Junior event. Any Senior can partner with any Junior.
- It’ll be played for on Saturday 25th October.
- It’s a Greensomes Format with the winners being the team that returns the best nett score.
- The tee will be reserved from 10am.
- I reserve the right to move this to an earlier start if demand exceeds the current limit of 40 teams. Please see my note below about registration closure date and time.

What’s Changing?
- We’re going to have an event running alongside this for adult relatives to participate in.
- Same format.
- So if you’re both adults and you’re related you can pair up and play too. You’ll find the eligibility criteria for the adult teams at the event portal home page above. If you’re in any doubt get in touch with me.
- All teams will be competing against one another but the James Adair can only be awarded to the best Senior/Junior combination pair.
- Prizes will be awarded for the overall competition.
Is There Anything for The Younger Juniors or Those Not Quite Course Ready?
Yes we’ll run an event that day for any parents or relatives from the Blue Tees with the first tee off at 1pm. Follow the instructions below to register and answer Yes to the Blue Tee event question.
What Do I Do If I Want To Play?
You can register by:
- Logging onto the BRS Golf Scoring App using your usual method (BRS Golf then Golf Events & H.I.)
- Select Results
- Juniors
- View on James Adair Salver
- New Registration
- Your name should appear
- Select the name of your partner under Member.
- Advise of your preferred tee time. There’s no guarantee on this and members registering should do so on the basis they are available to tee off anytime between 10 and 12.30.
- Make Payment. As ever my preference is you pay on registering but you can skip it and pay on the day. I will refund if you can’t make it or need to cancel.
What Happens Next?
Once the registration date is complete and I know the field size I’ll complete the draw. If you have a preference on who you play with (for example you’re a family of 4) feel free to email me to let me know. I’ll kind of know based on my knowledge of the club but won’t know in every instance so if it’s something you want..email me to tell me once both teams have registered.

To secure your spot at the Presentation of Prizes and/or the Race Night please complete the form at the bottom of the page. Once you’ve booked use this form to select your choices from the menu. You can either select on behalf of guests or share the link to the menu choices for them to choose. If selecting 2 courses that can be either Starter & Main or Main & Dessert, your choice. If selecting 1 course this will be a Main.


Race Night – Sponsor a Race/Own a Horse
We’re using this evening as an opportunity to help get the Macaulay boys to Pinehurst for their Wee Wonders World Championship title tilts.
Whether you’re making it along to the Race Night or not we’re aiming to have all of our races sponsored and horses owned prior to the evening. If you’re the owner of one of the winning 8 horses you’ll win a prize.
You can sponsor a race or buy a horse (or more) using the links below.
These can be also paid for at the bar. You’ll find a list of races and horses in the small lounge.

Whisky Tasting
Following the success of the first whisky tasting night, Friday the 7th of November will see the club hosting its second ‘Scottish Malt Whisky Society tasting event.
On the evening each guest will receive 5 single cask malt whiskies, with a main meal served after the first two half’s. Thereafter an additional 3 half’s will be served.
A curator from the Scottish Malt Whisky Society will host the event and will provide an insight into each of the whiskies being served on the night.
The total cost is £50 per head and your space can be secured by booking behind the bar or contacting Past Captain Paul Stewart at Paul.stewart0912@gmail.com.
During booking you will be asked to provide your food order in advance of the evening.
Full payment is required to secure your booking.
