Craig turned professional in 2009 off a handicap of +1 at Cathkin Braes Golf Club. Craig had represented Glasgow County at all levels before going on to study at the University of Stirling gaining a BA Hons degree in Sports Studies and History whilst playing on the golf team winning both the Scottish and British Universities Championships. Craig took up his first Professional role at Linlithgow Golf Club where he completed his PGA training degree before moving to Cawder Golf Club in 2013 where whilst working Craig paired coaching and playing on the tartan tour.
