Hopefully it’s a good sign for all of our teams at Fereneze this season bit our juniors got their Fleming Watson League season off to a flying start with a 4-2 victory away at Haggs Castle.
Evan Macaulay and Evan McGill won their handicap matches, Zak McArthur and Aaron McGuire, making his Fereneze debut, won their scratch matches. Ashton McKechnie and Ryan Jackson (also making his debut) tasted defeat to two good Haggs Castle players.
Great to have the first victory of the season and we look forward to welcoming back our junior champion Ethan and our junior championship runner up Calum for the next game.
Special word for Evan’s brother Lucas Macaulay who was due to play reserve but Haggs didn’t have an opponent. He went out and shot 53 for the front 9……so what you might ask???
