It was a family affair at Fereneze on Sunday with the re-introduction of our Senior/Junior event after a 7 year absence. 8 teams took part in fairly blustery conditions playing in a greensomes format. It was the Macaulay/Carlton pairings that got us underway and the winner came from that group with Uncle Mark and nephew Lucas taking the prize with a level par 71. The highlights were a 2 at the 2nd, 3 at 9 and a birdie to close it out at 18. The Millers, David and Ruby briefly held the lead but came unstuck with a few holes to play, and despite an up and down par net birdie at 17 couldn’t find the birdie required at the last to take the trophy.
Well done to Lucas, Evan, Ruby, Thomas, Ben, Innes, Harris and Finlay for taking on the challenge. Hopefully well see numbers grow over the next few years. It was such good fun we might revise the format to do it more often.
